Hi Perry, Also had an email today from this individual, stating that he had parts for a LM2, that I ran in our local news magazine from June 2013. Repeated attempts for a telephone number and address resulted in the following response: "See the attached photo of my Moto Guzzi Le Mans 2 , that I was referring to, in my first email to you , I`m wrecking the complete car for parts because of my health problems and my inability to sell the here in my end due to scarcity of the parts for this particular model . Since you need parts to restore yours , there is no problem , I want you to let me have the list of parts that you are after , so that I`II see to it and know whether all will be available for you , because my son who also owns this model , need parts to complete his project ." My Best Regards," As it was similar to a scam attempt some years back, I told him so. ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Likewise I had an email from the same person referencing a very old KJ exchange post and offering me the parts mentioned in it ... Perry ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Warning to all. I've been searching for some brake parts to complete my '19 model Z. I received an email from a Kelvin Max (kmax20665@gmail.com) claiming that he's "wrecking" (his words not mine) his 1919 Henderson and will sell me all the brake parts I require. He even went to the trouble of sending a pic of the bike. Well that one sold at Bonhams and is not owned by this Kelvin person. https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/24885/lot/223/ And why would anyone in their right mind break up a Henderson for parts??? Another person in this group warned me about this scam. Now I want everyone to know. Buyer Beware as always. Cheers, Nik |
