You are very prepared in the mechanics, compliments. My
noise is a whirring, when it turns to the least one, I don't
know if the change is equal to the other cleevelands, I have
not had the opportunity of doing a comparison.

The solution to this bit is to see if adjusting the clutch
engagement so the clutch frees off more will help the
gearchange, and reduce the clashing noises. 

Of course, Rob will probably say that a King carbon clutch
conversion is required here - and he may well be right...

Without knowing Clevelands too well, if your noise is when
changing gears, then this is a bit of a normal problem with
this type of design if the clutch drags a bit - the gears
are not synchromeshed but are rather of the "crash" type, so
u may have to blip the throttle and double declutch to
achieve noiseless gearchanges. Nearly all trucks and
tractors had this design of gearbox until relatively
recently, and it can take some skill to do clean gearchanges
that heavy flywheel has to be allowed time to slow down or
speed up before the gears will snik in.
