The correct center to center distance is 2.625 or 2 5/8ths. Your main shaft threaded area of the crankcase needs the cluster or triple gear that distance for the desired backlash between the to gears. You are a little on the lose side with your measurement. Good Luck. Mark ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Very Thanks Rick I've just got 2.653" Is this nearly number?? I will try to make Main shaft and Gears here in japan They need that number that make less Back rush gears. Thank you ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Hi, everyone I need help,,, I would like to know Accurate distance between spline shaft(main shaftjand countershaft gear of these center ? or How to measure? Thanks,,, Depends on what stage of assembly you are looking at but the principles are the same. If the shafts are in place use a suitable caliper and measure from the backside of one to the backside of the other then do the same from frontside to frontside. Add the two values and divide by two. You can do the same if you are looking at the bores for or in the bearings. Rick |
