Ken you probably already know but Neeve engineering in Sussex make superb shafts and gear sets if that's any help. the guys are Eric and Ian.

Was down there last week and they did have some gears in stock

Thanks Rohan , the 438 cluster and sliding gear I borroweddoes not match up with the Ace mainshaft so still looking ,I didn't see the ones on e-bay do not look on there toooften , I'll keep looking for a while before I commit myselfto having a set made . Whether the whole or part assembly wouldinterchange is a good question ?Someone here was talking of getting some ace gears made,will enquire what became of this.
