Hello  , we do have $64,000 expression , my Ace shows signs
of having nickel plate but whether it is orriginal or not is
another $64,000 question , most of my friends over here who
are into American bikes feel that Hendersons , Ace , Harleys
and Indians all had nickel cylinders but perhaps this stems
from a lot of bikes being "over" restored ?? Someone must
know for sure ?? I'm painting mine black , another Ace I
know of has nickel plated cylinders.

Well, that is the $64,000 question isn't it ?
(maybe you don't have this expression there ?!!)

A similar handsome looking Ace, described as "museum
quality" a while back had an asking price of $80,000. Which
is not to say it found a buyer.....

Anyone have any solid evidence that Ace cylinders were ever
nickel plated ??  A dull grey is all that has been sighted
in this part of the world....
