If there is an oil starvation problem because the oil is going into suspension which may be caused by a powerful oil pump and/or possible flywheel sling filling up the transmission, why not establish a higher oil level? The full mark on my KJ dip stick is 3 1/2" down from the stop. I am raising my oil level by 1/4" That will put about 2" of oil in the pan when the engine is at rest. That is over 10% more oil. I'm aware that you can overfill an engine with oil and it will start coming out of the breather etc.. How high can we go before we start having problems?
