Thanks Kris this really helps.

This is actually not uncommon when putting a four engine into a frame if it was
not in the frame prior to a frame straightening or a different engine in a
different frame. It is common to find the frame mounts to have the holes off
center even. If your frame is not painted you can plug the old frame hole(s) and
weld the top and bottom of the plug and then place your engine in and then re-
drill the frame hole. Just make sure you have at least a 1/4 inch sidewall in the
frame mount. Also it is CRITICAL that you shim the engine in the frame so that
you do not have a "rock" side to side or front to back prior to tightening the
engine in the frame. If you don't do this you can put undue stress on the engine
which is very bad. Good Luck.

Thanks Tom,

I have two bottom cases and both line up the same. Two of the holes are about
1/4" off.I have checked the lower case and it looks good. The frame seems so
steady you won't think it could be off.

Do you mean, there's some space between? like maybe the engines not sitting
flat, or do you mean the hole's really don't line up? Sounds like problems to me.
Was the frame checked and or straightend? Do you know you cases were good
and flat - or true might be a better way of saying it. You will git allot better
advise here soon I bet, but I would say something is not true, probably your
frame has some issue's. My Deluxes all lined up well, wish you the best of luck
with it, Tom.

I just mounted the engine on my 29KJ frame. Only two of the frame mounting
holes line up. Is this common on these frames, or am I missing something?

Thanks
