Here is a 28 deluxe I bought from the legendary Bert Mckie , ex commissioner of the OPP and died in the wool Hen man and friend of the Duponts of Indian fame. As a cop in the thirties Bert had to buy and maintain his own Henderson motorcycle. I paid $1800 for this deluxe. It was rebuilt by an old time expert Lormie Weiss who used BSA pistons. Lormie told me it had a sidecar but he took it to the dump as he didn't think anyone would want it. The bike went like a rocket, started great and gave me a lot of pleasure . I sold it several years later to E.J.Cole , Lonnie's uncle for $2200 . It was their very first antique bike for their now huge collection. Lonnie told me years later it was stolen in Houston and then recovered! ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Here is a beauty that used to show up at Wauseon and Oley . |
