Funny but seems the old bloke out in australia named Jeffries used to make these some time back. have you contacted old Nev in the motorbike club? he should help out. these are pretty easy to come by. I did see one a few back that a guy turned and used sealed bearings in Hungry.. what a weird one that was.
any how Grame Jeffries should have those he lives in Hamilton Vic.
hope this helps. pat

G'day from Australia

I am restoring a mid 20s Excelsior and I have a few problems!

The rear wheel hub cup and cone bearings are worn out, and I have been told that the factory made available a conversion to use tapered roller bearings. I understand that the same bearings also fitted the Hendersons.

I would appreciate it if someone could give me some measurements of the bearings so that I could modify my hub to take roller bearings.

Thanks and regards

Ian Donaldson
