Church Henderson Airplane
Dick Winger
Sweetser, Indiana

Dick Winger supplied these photos of his Church engine. There are several things to notice about this engine. First, the magneto mount has been cut off. Perhaps the magneto was mounted off the front (now rear) of the engine. Second, the original cylinder mounting holes in the block have been plugged, and new holes have been drilled and tapped. Dick does not have the cylinders - but perhaps they are much larger, and simply have one bolt between each pair? Third, the prop mount is much longer than the typical one. Dick has examined several Church engines, and thinks this might be a "racing" model.
